In 2014, the disaster situation in Guangxi was lighter than that in recent years, mainly flood and typhoon disasters, and the collapse of houses was the lowest in recent years.

1."Rammasun" has great influence and heavy loss

In the whole year, it has been affected by super typhoon "Rammasun" and typhoon "Seagull", among which "Rammasun" has the greatest impact. When "Rammasun" landed in Guangxi, the maximum wind force near the center was 48 m/S (15 m/s, strong typhoon), which was the strongest typhoon entering Guangxi since there were typhoon records after the founding of the people's Republic of China. In the inland, the strong typhoon scale and typhoon level lasted for 9 hours, which was rare in history. Affected by this, 10 cities and cities experienced heavy rainstorms from July 18 to 20. The rainfall in 23 townships of 12 counties (districts) in 5 cities exceeded 300 mm, the maximum rainfall was 552 mm in Changle Town, Hepu County, Beihai city, the Zuojiang River and Yujiang River were flooded, over warning floods occurred in Fangcheng river, Beilun River, Nanliu River, Mingjiang River, Qinjiang River and Dafeng River, causing 10 deaths.
