The online map of green tide distribution of marine disasters on July 14, 2014 comes from Atlas of natural disasters in China in 2014, the book is edited by the National Disaster Reduction Commission Office, the Disaster relief Department of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the National Disaster Reduction Center of Ministry of Civil Affairs, and is published by China Map Publishing House. The scale of this map is 1:3000000.
General situation of marine disasters
In 2014, China's marine disasters were mainly storm surges, sea waves, sea ice and red tide disasters. Green tide, coastal erosion, seawater intrusion and soil salt erosion, salt tide invasion and other disasters also occurred in varying degrees. Among all kinds of marine disasters, the most serious direct economic loss is caused by storm surge, and the largest number of dead and missing is wave disaster. Generally speaking, the marine disasters in 2014 were lighter than those in 2005-2014. Among them, the number of direct economic losses and deaths and missing persons are lower than the average value in 2005-2014.
1、Storm surge disaster
In 2014, there were 9 storm surge processes along the coast of my country, including 5 typhoon storm surge processes, 4 temperate storm surge processes, and 2 disasters. The results show that the overall disaster situation of storm surge is more serious, and the frequency of typhoon storm surge process is relatively small, which mainly affects the eastern coast of Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong Province and the coastal area of northeast Hainan Province. Temperate storm surge process is obviously less, among them, the "141008" temperate storm surge process lasts a long time and has a wide range of influence.
2、Sea wave disaster
In 2014, there were 35 disastrous wave processes with significant wave height more than 4 meters, including 11 typhoon waves, 24 cold air waves and cyclonic waves.
3、Sea ice disaster
From the end of 2013 to the beginning of 2014, the ice situation in the Bohai Sea and the northern Yellow Sea was significantly lighter than that of the normal year (grade 1.5). The maximum ice floe range occurred on February 12, 2014, covering an area of 16896 square kilometers.
4、Red tide disaster
In 2014, 56 red tides were found in the sea area under China's jurisdiction, with a total area of 7290 square kilometers. The high frequency of red tides occurred in May in coastal waters of China. 22 times of red tides were found, accounting for 39% of the total number. The cumulative area is 4344 square kilometers, accounting for 60% of the cumulative area.
5、Green tide disaster
From April to August 2014, the green tide disaster affected the coastal waters of the Yellow Sea in China. The coverage area reached the maximum value on July 3, about 540 square kilometers, and the distribution area reached the maximum value on July 14, about 50000 square kilometers.
