Jilin Province

In 2014, the disaster situation in Jilin Province was the same as that in recent years, mainly drought and flood disasters.

1.Long duration of drought and heavy loss

From the middle of July to the beginning of October, there was no effective rainfall for more than 50 consecutive days in the whole province, and the rainfall ranked first in the same period of history, the rare continuous drought in summer and autumn affected most areas of the province to varying degrees, the number of counties (cities, districts) affected by drought accounted for 86.8% of the total number of counties (cities, districts) in the province.
