The online map of disaster frequency distribution by disaster type in Fujian Province in 2014 is from the Atlas of natural disasters in China in 2014, the book is edited by the National Disaster Reduction Commission Office, the Disaster relief Department of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the National Disaster Reduction Center of Ministry of Civil Affairs, and is published by China Map Publishing House. The scale of this map is 1:4000000.
Fujian Province
In 2014, the disaster situation in Fujian Province was the same as that in recent years, with floods and typhoons as the main disasters, the affected population, affected area of crops and collapsed houses were the lowest in recent years.
1.More rainfall and more losses in the northwest inland
From April 22 to June 25, rainfall continued to occur in the whole province, with a longer duration and stronger intensity, the average precipitation of the whole province is 726.3 mm, 40% more than that of the same period of the year, ranking the third in history since 1961. Compared with the same period of the year, 21 counties (cities, districts) have more than 50% more rainfall, mainly distributed in Northern Fujian, Zhangzhou and parts of Longyan. From August 8 to 20, there was a continuous heavy rainfall in some areas, which was rarely seen in midsummer without the influence of typhoon, with wide influence range, long duration, strong short-term rain and severe local disaster. Compared with the same period of the year, most counties (cities and districts) have more than 50% more rainfall, more than 2 times in coastal areas in North Central and inland counties in Northwest China, and 3-4 times more in some parts. Floods and geological disasters caused death and missing of people, houses and roads were destroyed, crops were flooded, buses were stopped, and heavy losses were caused.
2.Small number of typhoons, and great influence of "Matmo"
In the whole year, the typhoon influence is early and the number is few. From June 15 to 16, typhoon "Haibei Si" caused serious disaster losses to the central and southern regions. In the typhoon season, one typhoon landed and three typhoons affected Fujian, and the total number was less than that of the year; Typhoon "Matmo" has the greatest impact on the wind and rain and the heaviest disaster losses, resulting in a large number of houses damaged in the central and northern coastal areas, and nearly 200000 people are urgently relocated and in need of emergency living assistance. In addition, there is no typhoon landing and influence in August, which is the first time since 1989.
The proportion of the total number of disasters in the region (%):
The closer to the dark yellow area, the higher the proportion of the total number of disasters in the area.
The closer to the light yellow area, the lower the proportion of the total number of disasters in the area.
The orange sector in the figure shows: Drought disaster.
