Work is the process by which energy is transformed from one form to another. Two essential factors for doing work: the force acting on the object and the distance the object passes in the direction of the force. The definition of classical mechanics: When a force acts on an object and the object passes a distance in the direction of the force, the mechanics say that the force does work on the object.
Do work: \(W=F \cdot S\) Force: \(F=W/S\) Distance: \(S=W/F\)
In the formula:
W=work; F=force; S=distance
