docker rmi : Delete one or more local mirrors.

2.54.1. Grammar ¶

docker rmi [OPTIONS] IMAGE [IMAGE...]

OPTIONS description:

-f : Force deletion
–no-prune : Do not remove the process image of the mirror, but remove it by default

2.54.2. Example ¶

Forces the deletion of the local mirror runoob/ubuntu:v4.

root@runoob:~# docker rmi -f runoob/ubuntu:v4
Untagged: runoob/ubuntu:v4
