The dataset contains socioeconomic statistics of China from 1985 to 1999, covering aspects such as population, rural output value at the county level, rural electricity consumption, agricultural land area, crop yields, total power of agricultural machinery, crops with sown area, total meat production, and total agricultural output value. Compiled and organized by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the dataset includes county-level output data (for the years 1985, 1987, 1986, 1989, 1990, and 1991) and rural output data (for the years 1985, 1985 [repeated, consider revising if this is an error], 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1991), totaling 98 data files.
