Online calculation of actual porosity of porous objects
Porosity refers to the ratio of the sum of all pore space volumes in the rock sample to the volume of the rock sample, which is called the total porosity of the rock, expressed as a percentage. The larger the total porosity of the reservoir is, the larger the pore space in the rock is. From the practical point of view, only those interconnected pores have practical significance, because they can not only store oil and gas, but also allow oil and gas to percolate in them. Therefore, the concept of effective porosity is put forward in production practice.
