APP description

If the nth power of a is equal to x (a>0, and a is not equal to 1), then the number n is called the logarithm of x at base a, which is recorded as

\(n=log_ax\)

Where a is called the base of the logarithm, x is called the true number, and n is called "the logarithm of x with a as the base".

In particular, we call the base 10 logarithm called the common logarithm and record it as lg.

The logarithm with the irrational number e (e=2.71828...) is called the natural logarithm and is denoted as ln.

Zero has no logarithm.

Usage example

Choice: logarithm

Log 10

Base: select e

Click "Calculate" to output the result
