Ec = Eckert number
V = speed
Cp = specific heat
DT = temperature difference
The Eckert number is a dimensionless number used for flow calculations. It was named after Professor Ernst R. G. Eckert.
It provides a relationship between flowing kinetic energy and enthalpy and is used to characterize dissipation.
The above equation can also be defined as Exeter number = kinetic energy/enthalpy.
Input data:
Speed (V): 25 m / s
Specific heat (cp): 15 joules / kg - Kelvin
Temperature difference (DT): 20 absolute temperature (Kelvin)
Click "Calculate" to output data
Eckert number (Ec): 2.0833
