Definition
The reciprocal of the arithmetic mean of the reciprocal of the harmonic mean, also known as the reciprocal mean. In other words, the sum of the reciprocals of its observations divided by the number of observations. This is the appropriate case, and this is also an average of several suitable situations.
Formula for harmonic mean
The positive real number of the harmonic mean H1, x2, x3, ...xn > 0 can be derived from the formula
\(H= \frac {n}{ \frac {1}{x1} + \frac {1}{x1} +...+ \frac {1}{x1} } = \frac {n}{∑^n_i =1 \frac {1}{xi} } \)
