The energy of an object due to motion is called the kinetic energy of the object. Its size is defined as one-half of the product of the mass of the object and the square of the velocity. Therefore, the object with the same mass, the greater the speed of motion, the greater its kinetic energy; the larger the mass of the object with the same speed, the greater the kinetic energy.
