The resistance of the conductor is usually represented by the letter R. The unit of resistance is ohm, referred to as Europe, and the symbol is Ω (Greek letter, transliterated into pinyin read as ōu mī ga ), 1 Ω = 1 V / A. Larger units have kilo ohms (kΩ) and megohms (MΩ) (mega = millions, or 1 million).
